When looking at 55+ communities near Denver, you should always ask about the kind of activities available. That’s because many communities like these offer an extensive selection of events for homeowners in the community. For instance, there are likely a variety of clubs that residents can join. If you enjoy reading, there is likely a book club you can join. Also, there is sure to be a card game club like a bridge club and many other activity-oriented clubs. Mahjong is all the rage and easy to learn. Many of the game rooms are equipped with golf simulators, but you can do much more than play golf.  You can play soccer, baseball, football, and even zombie dodgeball.

Weightlifting classes and indoor running on treadmills can help reach fitness goals you never knew you could reach after 55.  Prefer to watch sports?  Most active adult communities are built just outside urban centers so it’s an easy commute to your favorite sporting event like baseball, football, basketball, soccer, rugby and lacrosse.
